Abstract :
In the framework of finite differences, we propose a methodology for the exact transfer of boundary conditions from infinity or remote physical boundary of the original domain to the artificial boundary of the computational subdomain. We analyze the problem in a most general formulation and allow the artificial boundary to change its shape and/or spatial location in the course of time. Outside the computational subdomain, the governing finite-difference equations are assumed linear and homogeneous.
