Abstract :
Goal of the present research was to study quality of work life and the productivity of manpower in one of
the oil companies. Research method was of descriptive – Correlation type and was an applied method in
terms of goal. Statistical population of research was personnel of one of the Iranian oil companies whose
number was 1400 at time of research. Statistical sample was selected to be 302 using Morgan table and 2
researcher-made questionnaires of quality of work life and the productivity of manpower were used. To
calculate reliability of the questionnaire’s items, Cronbachʹs alpha test was used and the obtained alpha for
questionnaires of quality of work life and the productivity of manpower was calculated to be 0.87 and 0.89
respectively and became significant and was confirmed in level of 0.001. Statistical results of the main
research hypothesis showed that there was significant relationship between quality of work life and the
productivity of manpower. Statistical results of sub hypotheses also showed that there was significant
relationship between quality of work life and the aspects of productivity of manpower including Ability or
readiness, Knowledge of the job, supporting organization, Motivation, Feedback, Performance, Reliability
and environmental compatibility and Quality of Work Life predicts the aspects of productivity of
Manpower.
