Abstract :
Following the review of the metaheuristic techniques used in solving the problem of the generation expansion planning, other issues will be discussed in the second part of the present paper. This paper discusses different techniques of generation expansion planning including : genetic algorithm, fuzzy set theory and fuzzy logic, multi-attribute decision-making, game theory, artificial immune system algorithm, honey-bee mating optimization algorithm and the shuffled frog leaping algorithm which are all introduced and the major works and activities are reported based on these techniques.
