Abstract :
ABSTRACT: Every society needs order and organization to achieve public happiness and satisfaction which cannot be obtained unless ethic and law complement each other. Health and development of human society also require such a complement. Islam pays a great deal of attention to ethic and law. Ethic, law and their interaction have been death with by many scholars. This essay aims at investigating views for and against the relationship between ethic and law. Furthermore, it tries to show how these two are related and to what extent ethic can affect law. However, this does not mean that they are identical and undistinguishable. The distinctions between law and ethic need investigation. Clearly, quranic verses and Islamic traditions emphasize on the importance of ethic and law. This essay tries to touch on the importance of ethic and law in Islamic traditions.
