  • Abstract
    As part of an effort to develop an electromagnetic launcher, the authors have studied magnetic to kinetic energy conversion in a system of monolithic superconducting magnets. They present the dependence of optimal shapes on design parameters such as speed, scale, and critical current density, as well as an optimized shape.
