Abstract :
The present study examined the relationship between practice of religious belief and depression in female students of Kerman Islamic Azad University, dormitory. The type of study is descriptive and its method refer to correlational research also it is an operational research. The static society of the study included 1000 female students in dormitory of Islamic Azad University, Kerman, of which 275 people, according to Morgan table selected and standardized by Temple questionnaire Beck questionnaire, based on them the data collected and after extraction, processing of obtained data and preparing of statistic indicators of predictor variables, the Pearson correlation test was used. Statistical findings indicate that there is a significant relationship between religious beliefs and depression in female university students (0.01 > P), people with religious beliefs and practices of successful social interactions has been successful and their level of depression is low. So it is suggested that religious beliefs and training to the students can provide a healthy environment for children and young people, especially students, and they can prevent depression among them.
