Title of article :
Evaluation of Trance Minerals Zinc, Copper, Cobalt, Selenium and Iron In Lamb Grazing Area Bahar of Hamedan
Abstract :
Lowly-used mineral elements are highly necessary for livestck body and their deficiency leads to a variety of problems including decrease in growth, reproduction problems, anemia, decreased reproductivity, and even death. The present research aimed to explore the status of lowly-used elements such as Zinc,Copper,Cobalt,Selenuim, and Iron in the pasturing lambs of Bahar County in Hamedan Province,Iran For this purpose,Bahar County was divided into fifty lots based on the map of the region. In each of these lots, a blood sample was taken through the necksʹ veins from seven growing lambs(6-7months old)which were feeding on the pastures or farming leftovers. This was carried out in order to determine the status of lowly-used elements: Zinc, Copper, Cobalt, Selenium, and Iron in the growing pasturing lambs in the region. The results of the study showed that 35% of the livestock lack in Zinc,7% lack in Copper,26% in Selenium,and28% lack in Cobalt. Therefore, those livestock which grow in these pastures are damaged due to the shortage of these elements and thus their function is reduced. In order to overcome this shortage, it is essential to make use of supplements so that the physical and reproductive performance of the lambs is not disturbed or delayed in the future.
