Abstract :
The purpose of conducting this research is to compare an 8 week aerobic exercise on cardiac function and health indicators of 12 to 18 year old girls with wards and girls from orphanage of Gorgan city. Method of the current research is semi empirical, and the statistical population of this research consists of the whole students with wards and students from orphanage of guidance school and high school of Gorgan city. From this statistical population, 22 students from orphanage and 20 students with wards have been chosen by cluster random sampling. The cardiovascular and anthropometric variables have been measured in this research. First weight, Body mass index(BMI), systolic blood pressure at rest, diastolic blood pressure at rest, resting heart rate, rate pressure product (RPP), Systolic blood pressure during exercise, diastolic blood pressure during exercise, heart rate during exercise, mean arterial pressure (MAP) and skin fold. Both groups (group with wards and group from orphanage) were examined by laboratory instruments. Then they have been given eight weeks and each week 3 aerobic exercise sessions and after eight weeks all the variables were measured again and the data were analyzed by t-test at 0.05 alpha levels. The results of statistical tests showed that in the group from orphanage there was only a meaningful difference between the body fat and the, diastolic blood pressure during exercise. While in the group with wards, there was a meaningful difference between weight variables, BMI, body fat, systolic blood pressure at rest, resting heart rate and RPP. Also, when both groups were compared to each other, the results showed that the only meaningful difference is between the systolic blood pressure at rest and the heart rate during exercise. According to the results of this research it could be declared that an organized aerobic exercise program leads to significant changes in the cardiovascular function, like reducing heart rate during exercise and systolic blood pressure at rest. As a result it can be used in daily programs of people with special conditions for improving health and cardiovascular
