Abstract :

The core oligosaccharide in the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) of Burkholderia cepacia GIFU 645T was investigated. After mild acid hydrolysis of the LPS, a heptasaccharide was isolated and identified by chemical analyses, GLC–MS, FABMS, and NMR spectroscopy as follows:
