Abstract
Single crystal X-ray analysis of an aminoethyl mannopyranoside, namely, N-(benzyloxycarbonyl)aminoethyl-2,3,4,6-tetra-O-benzoyl-α-d-mannopyranoside (1), shows that the compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21, with two molecules in the unit cell. The mannopyranoside unit adopts a distorted 4C1 conformation. An analysis of the intermolecular interactions reveals a tandem network of N–H⋯O, C–H⋯O, and C–H⋯π interactions responsible for stabilizing the crystal lattice.
