Increased sensitivity of chitosan determination by a dye binding method

Chitosan is a topic of current research in pharmaceutics, medicine, biotechnology, and beyond. This note describes an improved quantification of chitosan using the dye Cibacron Brilliant Red 3B-A. The method is sensitive and of a good reproducibility and linearity in the range of 10–80 μg/mL.
