UNU Monitor

UNU Monitor is a quarterly review of the United Nations Universityʹs (UNU) current research, publications and forthcoming projects in the area of global environmental change. This issueʹs Monitor features a report by Haresh C Shah UNU Visiting Scholar and Chairman of the Civil Engineering Department at Stanford University, USA, on the increase in global earthquake risk. The article also includes a report on the United Nations Universityʹs recently established Global Network on Natural Disaster Risk Management, and its project on Natural Disasters in Mega-Cities.
