Abstract :
Water activity, aw, in solutions of NaCl, glycerol, d-glucose, sucrose, and urea was correlated against viscosity, η of these solutions. Relationship is non-linear, which follows the View the MathML source equation. Generally, these relationships provide control over the water activity of solutions at a required viscosity and, vice versa control over viscosity at a given water activity.
