Authors reply [to comments on Mesh stability of look-ahead interconnected systems]

In this note, we respond to the comments on the above paper (IEEE Trans. Automat. Contr., vol. 47, pp. 403-407, Feb.2002.) submitted by Zhang (IEEE Trans. Automat. Contr., vol. 49, pp. 858-9, May 2004.. In our opinion, we have responded to his objections in the explanation that follows. Zhangʹs counterexample did focus our attention on a modification needed to the definition and the proof of mesh stability. We believe that these modifications have made the exposition of material more lucid.
