Abstract :
The deposition velocity of particles to a model surface has been determined experimentally in a wind tunnel by producing an aerosol consisting of monodisperse spheres containing a fluorescent substance. Simultaneously to the deposition a diluted sample of the aerosol is produced on a Nuclepore filter. By counting the particles on the deposition surface and the filter the deposition velocity can easily be determined.
