Interfacial modification of polymer/metal joints by a two-component coupling system of polybenzimidazole and 2-mercaptobenzimidazole

A two-component coupling-agent layer for copper with epoxy resin and polyimide, produced by immersion of a copper plate in polybenzimidazole solution and then in 2-mercaptobenzimidazole solution, showed better anticorrosive performance and higher adhesive strength than each individual component even at high temperature.
