Abstract :
The description of the spectrometer to carry out scientific research in surface acoustic wave resonance spectroscopy (SAWRS) is presented in the paper. Recently many experimental observations have shown a significant increase in catalytic activity during surface acoustic excitation (the reaction of CO oxidation, CVD films growth, metal thin film deposition etc.). And moreover there is a report about a sensor (piezoelectric substrate) for chemical vapor detection using a surface acoustic wave (SAW) ray that provides a selective detection of several chemical agents. Since the phenomenon is accompanied by a specific reagent order, the authors propose to use the SAWRS method for measurements of SAWR-spectra of active boundaries. The results of data processing have provided some new information on the dynamic processes taking place on the boundaries of heterophase media. The authors use a bulk force for damped surface modes based on original intermediate heating bath model. The proposed spectrometer with tunable 4 RF outputs (the twin of two independent frequencies) allows to form and control the standing waves by multipole excitation systems.
