Monte Carlo simulation of the precursor model for chemisorption on a homogeneous surface

The precursor model of adsorption on a square lattice is simulated by the Monte Carlo method. It is found that the sticking coefficients obtained by our simulations do not agree with those calculated by Kisliuk’s equation and mutual conversion probabilities between two types of precursors have important effect on the sticking coefficient.
