Abstract :
Au-thiol aggregates composed of Au multiply twinned particles MTPs.and propionicacidthiolates were produced and
named an MTP-micelle. The nuclear magnetic resonance NMR.spectrum of the MTP-micelle shows that most of the
propionicacidthiolates seem to form dimers disulfides.on the Au MTP surface. Transmission electron microscope TEM.
images show that most of the core Au particles are MTPs, but truncated MTP structures are partly observed. This
observation predicts the creation of a fullerene-like particle structure by the thiolates-adsorption method. The average size of
the MTP-micelles is 70 A° , which is confirmed by a scanning electron microscope SEM.image. q1998 Elsevier Science
