    A new approach to study the particle velocity and particle residence time in thermal plasma in relation to input parameters and nozzle dimensions has been made. The alumina particle was introduced into an argon plasma. Injected particleʹs thermal histories were calculated. # 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
