The Effectiveness of The Field Supervision on The Improvement of The Speaking Skills of The Non-Arabic Language Learners in Turkey

This study examines one of the major problems of the non-Arabic language learners that aim to learn the Arabic language. The problem is the weakness in the speaking skills, which is one of the most important language and communication skills. According to above, this research is a quasi-experimental study. The research sample consists of two groups, one of which is consisted of the students of Istanbul University and the other is consisted of the students of the faculty of theology of Marmara University. In order to test the validity of the research instruments, a test was taken from a sample of the students who were randomly selected and did not be in the research sample. Then, the research material was presented to the members of the research sample in the traditional way and then a pre-test was taken from them. The research sample was divided into two groups: control group and experimental group. Afterwards, the scientific material was presented again, but for the control group it was presented in the traditional method, and for the experimental group it was presented with the extracurricular activities (field trip). Then, a post-test was taken from the two groups that aimed to clarify the role of the extracurricular activities (field trip) in the enhancement of the speaking skills of the non-Arabic language learners that aim to learn the Arabic language. The results of the pre-tests and post-tests highlighted the positive role of the extracurricular activities in the enhancement of the speaking skills of the non-Arabic language learners that aim to learn the Arabic language. These results are consistent with the research hypotheses.
