From Communicative Competence to Intercultural Competence

The field of foreign language teaching and learning witnessed the spread of the concept ofintercultural communicative competence (ICC).The latter helps them to interact with people fromother cultures. In this article, We will discuss the different components that constitute thecommunicative competence, explain how culture influences communication and we will focus on theimportance of the skills of (ICC) that will prepare learners to be intercultural speakers.
