On Extended Tukeyfs Lambda Distribution Models

This paper provides a new extended model with particular case five -parameter probability distribution which is an extension of generalized Tukey s lambda distribution and probability density function. Due to the highly flexible form of this new distribution, wide variety of curve shapes are possible, and thus it is useful in both fitting continuous distribution whether it is known previously, or at the availability of a random sample of data which follows unknown. Distribution. Method of estimating the parameters of this distribution are also given. Several symmetric and asymmetric distributions are approximated using the proposed distribution. The result of this study confirms the significance of this distribution as competent to the other techniques of fitting continuous distributions in addition to generating pseudo-random numbers
