Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Investigation of Some New Metal Complexes of Cu^2+, Mn^2+, Co^2+, Zn^2+ and Ni^2+ ions with the Ligand of 2-[(8-hydroxy-1-quinolin-5-yl)- methyl]-1H-1,2-benzothiazole-3-(2H)-one-1,1-dioxide

The synthesis, characterization and biological activity of new complexes of Cu^2+, Mn^2+, Co^2+, Zn^2+ and Ni^2+ ions with derivatives ligand from N-hydroxy methyl saccharin and 8-hydroxy quinoline were described and studied. The new prepared complexes (ligands) were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, IR, H1-NMR and C13-NMR spectroscopy studies. Coordination of the ligand atom to the metal ions was deduced by IR. All the complexes have been screened for antibacterial and antifungal.
