Independent development is an inevitable necessity and an urgent requirement for developing countries, especially the Algerian economy, to get rid of excessive economic dependence on the outside world, and to maintain a kind of independence and sovereignty in light of the increasing trends of globalization. This is despite the prior judgment of some economists about the impossibility of implementing independent development in light of globalization, due to the presence of various difficulties and obstacles. There remains a margin of maneuvering for its success in light of the availability of a number of conditions for its implementation, as long as self-reliance does not mean isolation from the outside world.
