This article deals with the role of civil society in fighting corruption due to the mechanisms it possesses to represent and express segments of society, such as social movements: associations, unions, political parties, public opinion, local councils, the legislative authority, and others, which qualifies them to be pressure groups thanks to their representative, participatory and oversight roles. an‎d the media makes it a real authority that can confront any deviant phenomenon. Special emphasis has been placed on the role of political parties and elected councils, as they are among the most important civil society organizations that exercise control over the work of the executive authority, which qualifies them to confront manifestations of domination, tyranny and corruption.
