This article attempts to trace the path of the transformation witnessed by the concept of security in the literature of international relations and its relationship to changing the priorities of decision-makers, and consequently, shifting some patterns of national and international public policy-making, by focusing on the shift from state security-centralization in favor of community security and the role of the security discourse in that . It also attempts to shed light on the repercussions of this for public policy-making patterns, including the way governments move forward in the process of politicizing societal issues and the way in which the authoritarian discourse transfers these issues, from the space of ordinary issues to issues that give them a security character, and thus they are subject to different arrangements with the take measures on it. The article concludes that there are caveats against launching the securitization process without restrictions, and that to suspend the work of the established democratic traditions, and thus compromising the security itself in the long term, which is assumed that the securitization aims to maintain it. In order to overcome this situation, it seems appropriate to encourage civil society to work online with the aim of pressing for the de-security of societal issues.
