Jabra Ibrahim Jabra’s Al-Safinah (The Ship) 1970, highly interested the researchers of the current millennium for being technically well-constructed. It has witnessed a numerous studies which dealt with its form and content. This paper is a critical reading of Al Safinah’s technical construction. The researcher tries to present an overview of the most important parts of the novel’s technical construction. Moreover, he sheds lights on the important events and motifs of the novel. This paper also projects the technical construction through reading and analysis. It points out the time, place, language, symbols and imagery of the novel.
