Creation of Heaven and Hell between Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah and the Mu'tazilah

Those who puruse the resources and basic chronicles of monotheistic theology can find that the People of Qiblah had agreed on the reality of Heaven and Hell as eternal abodes for the blessed and the miserable, respectively. However, the heated disagreement erupted whether Heaven and Hell had been already created or they are to be created in the future on the Judgment Day There disagreement has been between the advocates of Ahlu Assuna, on the one hand, and Al- Mu’tazila, on the other hand. The former posited that they had been created while the latter assumed that they will be created later on the Day of Judgment. Each team has mentioned pieces of evidence that support its view and refutes the opposite standpoints. Therefore, the researcher decided to re-explore this issue and to examine these pieces of evidence used by each party; thus discussing and refuting any falsity also supporting and defending what hard evidence can prove without extreme fanaticism nor extreme leniency
