Estimates of the students of the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan for the role of their families in instilling the values of security education contained in the Holy Qur’an

The study aimed to identify the role of the family in instilling the security education values ​​included in the Holy Qur’an from the children’s point of view, and whether there are statistically significant differences in the estimates of the study sample members for the role of their families in inculcating the security education values ​​contained in the Holy Qur’an according to the different variables: gender, educational level for the father, and the level of the family's income. To achieve the objectives of the study, the values ​​of security education in the Holy Qur’an were deduced through the content analysis methodology, then these values ​​were categorized in five areas, and they were formulated in the form of a questionnaire consisting of (33) items, and the study sample consisted of (282) male and female students in the College of Educational Sciences At the University of Jordan, the results showed an average role for the family in instilling the values ​​of security education in all fields, and there were statistically significant differences in the difference in the level of family income in favor of those with higher incomes, while no differences appeared according to the other variables of the study, and in light of the results the study recommended that Islamic education be given more attention diversifying its means and sources; To contribute to increasing families’ representation of Quranic directives in the field of security education.
