Obstacles to volunteer work in Jordan

The study aimed to identify the obstacles facing volunteer work in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from the point of view of the employees of the Ministry of Social Development working in the directorates and departments of associations, and related to the volunteer himself, to society, and to voluntary institutions, and to indicate whether there are statistically significant differences in the obstacles facing work. The volunteer belongs to the gender of the association’s employees, and their educational level. To achieve this, a descriptive study was conducted using the social survey method, and the study community consisted of all the employees of the directorates and departments of associations in the Ministry of Social Development. The study community was selected by a comprehensive inventory of (52) male and female employees, A three-dimensional questionnaire was prepared, containing (45) items, and the study applied simple and advanced statistical methods such as the analysis of variance t-test to show the differences and the statistical significance of the variables. an‎d in the voluntary institutions, each of them came at an average level, and that the highest degree of obstacles was for the obstacles related to the volunteer himself, and the least were associated with In society, the results also showed that the obstacles in general came at an average level. The study showed that there are no statistically significant differences for the obstacles facing volunteer work due to the variables of gender and educational level of the employees of the directorates and departments of associations, but the results showed the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≥ 0.05) in the combined obstacles due to the educational level variable. .
