Production of Ferrosilicon alloy by using Iraqi sand

In this work ,two kinds of ferrosilicon alloys of 45% and 75% as asilicon contained were produced from Iraqi sand and charcoal which are available materials instead of using coke ash or pitch cokes ,petroleum. Arcfurnace assembly mono –phase with two graphate electrodes was used instead of three phases voltage ,this electrodes were made from graphate electrodes scrap ,the procedure ,equipments ,and the results analysis were described .
