Inter-Band Transitions of ZnO:Sb Thin Films

An experimental study has been made on the effect of Sb ratios on the optical absorbance of sprayed ZnO thin films. These films have been deposited on to glass substrates by the spray pyrolysis method. The substrate temperature kept at 500oC using mixed aqueous solutions of Zncl2 Sbcl3 with different ZnO:Sb ratios. The values of optical band gap have been determined from the absorption spectrum. The results indicate increasing in optical band gap with increasing in Sb ratio.
