he theory of receiving is one of the most important theories that dealt with the forum and its role in supporting the process of creativity in poetry in particular. Among the poetic texts that received the attention of the scholars and critics, there is the verses of Ibn al-Assal, organized in the lament of Toledo. It was at the level of the shattering telegram addressed to his family in Andalusia to wake up from their slumber and stand up to defend their homeland, by containing many of the connotations and stylistic features that worked to breach the horizon of waiting for the recipient. Which made it interesting to scholars and critics, so they had different readings and the outcome of those readings a number of different interpretations. From this point of view, this study attempts to shed light on the role of the recipient in receiving the elegy text, his ability to decipher and interpret it, and read it closer to the world of text and its intent. So how do students receive the significance of these verses? How were their readings? What are the stylistic elements that the poet invested to convey his message? This is what this study will try to research.
