The scope of legal relationships extends on the international athletic plane, as a result of the increase in the number of the varied types of international athletic activities provided for in the Olympic charter. The multitude of these relationships frequently makes them vitiated with an extraneous elements, whether according to its traditional meaning or the one used in the field of athletic (sport) law, which entails the availability of suitable solutions to be applied in the international sports arena. The concepts and notions prevailing in the private international law do not become applicable on the private international athletic relationships and therefore, the domicile and nationality have no longer the significant role played in determining the extraneous element vitiating the relationship but are replaced by the athletic subordination, and the legal status of the international player has been different to that enjoyed by any other foreigner usually resident in the country, and the subject matter of the conflict of law. I.e., the essence of the private international law is not restricted to the settlement of the conflict of law in its traditional of the conflict of law in its traditional sense only, but also the conflict taking place among the sports regulations some of which are characterized by their effective legal organization, whereas others are featured by their well-knit contractual formation ; whether the conflict has taken place between them immediately or with other laws. It is worth bearing in mind that some connecting factors are contained in the sport regulations in addition to the presence of certain judicial and arbitral bodies competent with settling the internationally featured sport disputes. This makes the private international sport law have the peculiarity by which it is obviously distinguished from its legitimate origin. the private international law, which motivated us, as a first step, to study the guidelines and general principles of this law I think if is high time to identify its distinctive features
