A successful model in the membrane separation processes is Modified Surface Force-Pore
Flow (MD-SF-PF) model. This model involves some nonlinear parameters. An efficient numerical
method is required to solve the nonlinear equations of the model. In this research an efficient numerical
technique, namely Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is used to analyze this model. This technique
which is based on fluid mechanics uses numerical algorithms to solve and analyze problems that involve
fluid flows. The CFD which is a much faster and more precise technique shows accurate results than the
formerly method of "Orthogonal Collocation". The determined profiles of velocity and concentration,
value of separation and flux shows that this model is a very precise and accurate one to predict the
performance of a reverse osmosis membrane.
