Application of a Stochastic Approximation EM-type algorithm in the GI/G/1 Queue

In queuing models, optimization of appropriate performance measures is significant. This paper deals with the problem of minimizing system time with respect to a scalar service time parameter. Due to the computationally intractable of the performance measure, this work utilizes a different variant of stochastic approximation algorithm in the GI/G/1 queue.
