Determine order quantity in two-level assembly systems with random failure rates

This paper considers two-level assembly systems whose failure rates of components are stochastic with known discrete random distributions. In such system, it is important to determine order quantity of components that minimize ordering cost and maximize customer service. Here, a multi objective model of this problem is presented and a guide approach to NSGA-II is developed to solve it. Results show this guided NSGA-II is more efficient comparing with basic NSGA-II.
