In this paper a hybrid system based on photovoltaic (PV) arrays and wind turbine (WG) and fuel cell
(FC) consists of electrolyzer (EL) and hydrogen storage tank (HST) is designed optimally to supply the system load. The
optimal hybrid system designing is implemented by considering the annual system cost minimizing and reliability indices. In this
paper, ant lion optimizer (ALO) that is a new intelligent method is applied to solve the optimization problem. In this paper due to
importance of load supply in hybrid power generation system, variation of loss of power supply probability range (LPSP) is
evaluated on system costs, reliability indices, HST expected energy and system optimal configuration. The results show that
considering the load loss in optimal designing, increase the annual system cost and also with decreasing in LPSP, the load
loss annual cost is decreased and the reliability indices are improved.
