In this paper, design, manufacturing and control
of a twin rotor system is studied. The pitch angle of the system is
controlled by several methods. We could access to desired pitch
angle of the system via two angle and angular velocity sensors
precisely. Three controllers, PID, state feedback, and fuzzy
controllers are designed and implemented to the system. In this
system, fast rise time and a little overshoot are our desired
response specifications. It has been shown the PID has an
unacceptable overshoot and the fuzzy controller rise time is very
large although it does not have overshoot. Transient response of
the state feedback controller is within the fuzzy controller and
the PID one. There are not so different from each other from
sinusoidal responses point of view although the fuzzy controller
has a slower response than others.
