Pozolan as inexpensive and friendly environmental sorbent was used for dye removal. the
main phase of pozolan is SiO2 and quartz phase. Adsorption of Alizarine yellow (AY) from
aqueous solution was investigated. The sorption was analyzed using XRF and FTIR. The
effect of contact time, initial dye concentration and mass of pozolan for adsorption of AY
were investigated.
