Sometimes normal hydrographic sensors like multibeam echo sounder, single beam or side scan sonar are not effective enough to find a covered wreck. This case in a river like Elbe is so often, this river has huge amounts of sediments that covered a lot of objects in its bed, in order to solve this problem use side effects of these hidden object is a good and practical method. Magnetometer is a sensor that rescored magnetic field of earth, by towing of magnetometer behind of vessel (a boat for example) is possible to get these data in water bodies. This paper present that based on some historical records we had found an old wreck with anomaly of magnetic field in reported sinking position. For this method is essential to correct daily anomaly of magnetic filed in Elbe river location and other field distortions, such as buoys and big ships etc. In case of Visual models had applied different numerical method to give better and more accurate result. After cleaning and analyzing magnetic data, we used Surfer 8 to do visualization.
This method helps archaeologist to survey this old ship in better in field investigation such as diving and etc
