In this paper, we study the estimation problem for the Burr type III distribution based on
record values. The maximum likelihood method is used to derive the point estimators of the parameters.
An exact confidence interval and a joint confidence region are constructed for the parameters of Burr type
III distribution based on record data. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the proposed methods.
