زندگي تنها گذر زمان نيست ، زندگي تنها داشتن سرپناه نيست، خانه تنها بستري براي استراحت،تماشاي تلويزيون و يا داشتن كمد و غيره نيست، زندگي تپش حيات آدمي در خانه و خانه بستري براي اعتلاي روح و رشد و تعالي است، خانه بايد مكاني براي تاثيرپذيري و تاثيرگذاري بر فرهنگ باشد و اين اصل را بايد در نهاد خود به نسل هاي ديگر بياموزاند تا بقاي اين امر ممكن باشد وجود مسكن هايي با حضور نسلهاي مختلف در كنار هم شايد بتواند به اين روابط توجه خاصي را مبذول كرده و اساس و پايه ي تداوم فاكتورهاي هويتي و فرهنگي اجتماعي در شكل و – معناي مسكن فردا باشد. لذا در دوراني كه نياز به بازنگري بنيادين در مفاهيم و معاني مرتبط با معماري احساس مي شود رجوع به قرآن كريم به عنوان چراغ راهنمايي براي چگونه زيستن، در كنار مصاديق سنتي مسكن كه ترجماني از دين و آموزه هاي قدسي در قالب كالبدهاي مادي هستند، مي تواند راه را به سوي فهم درست و اصلاح روش ساخت مسكن امروز بگشايد . دين جامع اسلام با رهنمودهاي الهي و برخاسته از جهان بيني توحيدي، اصول اساسي را براي زندگاني برگرفته از صفات مطلق الهي و طراحي مسكن اسلامي ارايه مي دهد . كه يكي از اين اصول خانواده مداري است.در اين نوشتار از روش توصيفي – تحليلي استفاده گرديده ،در ابتدا پس از روشن ساختن مفهوم خانواده و اشاره به آيات مربوط به آن كه به خانواده گسترده و روابط مستحكم خانواده اشاره مي كند. و خانواده هسته اي در جامعه امروز را نهي مي كند .و در نهايت به ارائه ي راهكارها و اصولي براي بازسازي اين مفهوم در معماري معاصر ايران مي پردازد
