A Survey Stimulative and Preventive Factors in the Communication Skills of Librarians at Public Libraries in Ahvaz County

زمينه و هدف: هدف از اين پژوهش بررسي عوامل ترغيب‌كننده و بازدارنده مهارت‌هاي ارتباطي كتابداران كتابخانه‌هاي عمومي شهرستان اهواز مي‌باشد. روش: اين پژوهش به روش پيمايشي از نوع توصيفي-تحليلي صورت گرفته و براي گردآوري داده‌ها از پرسشنامه استفاده شده است. جامعه آماري پژوهش شامل همه كتابداران 16 كتابخانه عمومي نهادي شهرستان اهواز و كتابخانه مركزي استان خوزستان مي‌باشد. ميزان پايايي پرسشنامه با استفاده از روش ضريب آلفاي كرونباخ 0/88 مي‌باشد. داده‌هاي گردآوري شده از طريق نرم افزار اِس‌پي‌اِس‌اِس مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گرفت. جهت تجزيه و تحليل داده‌هاي پژوهش، از آمار توصيفي (فراواني، درصد فراواني، ميانگين و انحراف معيار)، آزمون فريدمن و آمار تحليلي (تحليل واريانس يك راهه و تي مستقل) استفاده شده است. يافته ها: يافته‌هاي اين پژوهش نشان مي‌دهد كه مهم‌ترين عامل ترغيب كننده مهارت‌هاي ارتباطي كتابداران وجود پاداش مادي و معنوي با ميانگين 23/34، و مهمترين عامل بازدارنده مهارت‌هاي ارتباطي نبود پاداش مادي و معنوي با ميانگين 23/09 به‌دست آمد. همچنين عوامل سازماني مهمترين عامل بازدارنده و عوامل فردي مهم‌ترين عامل ترغيب كننده شناسايي شدند. اصالت/ ارزش: اين تحقيق بر آن است تا به شناسايي عوامل ترغيب‌كننده و بازدارنده مهارت‌هاي ارتباطي كتابداران كتابخانه‌هاي عمومي شهرستان اهواز بپردازد. پژوهش حاضر از نخستين مطالعاتي است كه عوامل بازدارنده و ترغيب كننده مهارت‌هاي ارتباطي كتابداران در كتابخانه هاي عمومي را مورد بررسي قرار مي دهد

The aim of this study was to determine the stimulative and preventive factors in the communication skills of librarians at public libraries in Ahvaz County. Method: This is a descriptive-analytical survey in which a questionnaire was used to collect data. The statistical population included all the librarians working at 16 institutional public libraries of Ahvaz County and the Central Library of Khuzestan Province. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated by using Cronbach’s alpha (0.88). The collected data were analyzed in SPSS. Descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage frequency, mean, and standard deviation), the Friedman test, and analytical statistics (one-way ANOVA and independent t-test) were employed to analyze data. Findings: According to the research findings, the most important stimulative factor in communication skills of librarians was the existence of material and spiritual rewards (23.34). However, the most important preventive factor in communication skills was the lack of material and spiritual rewards (23.09). Moreover, organizational factors and individual factors were identified as the most important preventive and stimulative factors, respectively. Originality/Value: The aim of this study was to identify the stimulative and preventive factors in communication skills of librarians at public libraries of Ahvaz County. This study is one of the first works of research investigating preventive and stimulative factors in communication skills of librarians at public libraries.
