سنجش و ارزيابي مهارت استفاده از فناوري هاي ارتباطي توسط كتابداران مطالعه موردي كتابخانه هاي عمومي فارس

Assessment and evaluation of librarians’ skills in using of information communication technologies: a case study of Fars province public libraries

پژوهش حاضر با هدف ارزيابي سطح مهارت به كارگيري فناوري هاي ارتباطي و اطلاعاتي و ميزان استفاده كتابداران از اين فناوري ها انجام گرفت. روش: جامعه آماري اين پژوهش كه از نوع پيمايشي - توصيفي است، شامل كتابداران كتابخانه هاي عمومي استان فارس مي باشد. روش نمونه گيري تصادفي ساده و ابزارگردآوري داده ها، پرسشنامه محقق ساخته است كه ضريب پايايي آن با استفاده از فرمول آلفاي كرونباخ محاسبه و بدست آمد. يافته ها: يافته هاي اين پژوهش نشان داد كه سطح مهارت كتابداران كتابخانه هاي عمومي فارس در بكارگيري فناوري هاي ارتباطي و اطلاعاتي موجود، نسبتا مناسب مي باشد با اين حال، تفاوت معناداري بين تحصيلات و سابقه كاري كتابداران با ميزان توانايي آنان در استفاده از اين فناوري ها مشاهد شد. گرچه به نظر مي رسيد كه بين جنسيت كتابداران و توانايي آنان در استفاده از فناوري هاي ارتباطي رابطه وجود داشته باشد وليكن يافته هاي اين پژوهش وجود چنين رابطه اي را نشان نداد يافته هاي ديگر اين تحقيق نشان دادند كه در كتابخانه هاي فارس به جز تجهيزات ويديو كنفرانس، سطح بالايي از زيرساخت هاي ارتباطي براي كتابدارن فراهم بوده كه جهت خدمات رساني به مراجعان مورد استفاده قرار مي دهند. اصالت و ارزش: بالا بردن سطح توانايي كتابداران مي تواند به رضايت كاربران و كتابداران كمك زيادي نمايد . اين پژوهش با بررسي سطح توانايي كتابداران و ميزان استفاده آنان از فناوري هاي ارتباطي و اطلاعاتي مي تواند نقاط ضعف و قوت را نشان داده و راهكارهايي را براي بهبود و رفع نقاط ضعف كتابداران ارايه نمايد.

Goal: the use of communicative technologies is emphasized in libraries. The extent to which librarians utilize communicative technologies will determine to the quality of library’s services. Thus, the main focus of this research is to explore the extent to which these technologies are applied. This study also intends to reveal how much librarians use these technologies. Methodology: Statistical population of this survey-based – descriptive research is librarians of Fars province public libraries. Sample members were chosen randomly. A self-made questionnaire was used for data gathering. Cronbach’s alpha method was used for calculating the reliability’s coefficient. Results: Findings reveal that there is a significant relationship between the level of education and their abilities in the use of communicative technologies. In addition, there is a significant relationship between the job experience and their abilities in the use of communicative technologies. However, there’s not any significant relationship between the sex of librarians and their ability in the use of communicative technologies. . The data shows that except video conference, high level of communicative infrastructure is provided in Fars libraries. Conclusions: It seems that it is possible to derive satisfaction for users and librarians from improving librarians’ communicative skills. This research depicts the strengths and weaknesses of the librarians’ skill in using communicative technologies. This study suggests several options for improving the librarians’ performance and it also provides some solutions for decreasing their weaknesses.
