چكيده لاتين :
This paper investigate the effect of plasma nitriding on samples with different
grooves. Steel blocks prepared from DIN/2344 hot working steel were plasma
nitrided under the gas mixture %75H2-%25N2 at temperature of 500 c, pressure
of 4 torr for 5h at different duty cycles and frequencies. Then the phase
Micro structural property of surface of groove with investigated by SEM,
Hardnees and Roughness of surface. The results of the experiments showd that
with increasing the thickness of the groove, frequency and duty cycle. The
roughness of surface rais due to the increase in the prouduction of cauliflower
shape nitride particles in CPN method in due to continuose spattering of the
surface atoms during the process. Also Micro Hardness rais with increasing the thickness of the groove and duty cycle resulting from the increase in perecent of
deposition particle nitride. Hollow catod effect occurred in sample with 2mm
groove and 80% duty cycle in CPN. This will result in over heating of the
sample which leads to a decrease hardness of the surface and an increasing in the
Roughness of the surface. the morphology of the surface was also investaged.
