A translation should have some characteristics which indicate the quality of that translated work. Universal features of translation as a theory (was revealed Baker, 1993) has four elements, the effect of normalization as one of those features is discussed in the translation of Sophie’s World, a novel about the history of philosophy for children that was written by Jostein Gaarder and was translated by Hassan Kamshad. The significance items were drawn in this research by lexical analyzing of some words and phrases in this translation.
