The present survey study investigated proposing a test to assess and classify both what happens in the mind of translator known as translation process in the black box and the invariant principle or innate biologically endowed language faculty which permits L1 acquirer to arrive grammar on the basis linguistic experiences known as universal grammar. The function of the human black box comprises a ternary component: a) encoding b) decoding, and c) recoding. The joint node of descriptive translation studies with UG input is competency overlapped by encoding and decoding - with UG output is performance overlapped by recoding. Synchronization and interfacial equivalent between L1 and L2 occur in terms of syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic. A feasible aspect to place bilateral juncture by no means is even more objective identity such as translation quality assessment. Variables of the study contain senior EFL translator as independent, (encoding, decoding, and recoding) as dependent, gender as moderator, TS (theories and application) - passed student as control, and translation proficiency as intervening. To elicit information, the researcher selected randomly a group of 100 senior EFL Learners to conduct a pilot study. A questionnaire embedded T/F item, multiple – choice item, open – ended question item, portion translation item, and problem shooting item types are taken in. The Cronbach alpha (α) estimated internal consistency and a panel of experts in applied linguistics and translation studies reaffirmed content, construct, and criterion – related validity. Results from obtained scores suggested that joint nodes of cognitive skills in translation and UG get placed into five distinctive clear – cuts from very low to very high classification. Pedagogically, acquisition, learning, and teaching – based upon clarification – the gap gets refilled while the learners and teachers are required to plot their positions.
