The effect of different organs of the essential oil Damascus Rose (Rosa damaascena)

Damask rose with the scientific name Rosa damasena is shrub rose. Damask rose shrub with prickly foliage, colorful flowers pinky and time of flowering is in late April to early July. Rose essential oil is one of the most valuable products that obtained from the distillation of fresh flowers. Aerial parts of rose gathered from the Barij Essence Research Farm at harvest time in late May and fresh samples were tested. In order to determine the total amount of essential oils from different parts such as branches with flowers (length 20 cm), branches without flowers (length 20 cm) distillation has been done by the use of Clevenger device and according to pharmacopoeia method and obtained essence were stored in the refrigerator until needed analysis. The results showed that branches without flowers had not any essence for extraction. Flowering branch has most of linalool and the rest of cases are almost the same and in a range. The most amount of 2-phenyl ethanol distilled from the branch without flower is 80.34 percent. According to the comparison compounds in essence and obtained essence by distilled the following results were obtained.
